The reality is that the sound you will get from Spotify or another streaming service will usually be slightly distorted. There are subtle differences in sound quality and frequency that only audiophiles pay attention to. With such people, the urge for good music is greater than with the normal listener. I don't know where Tidal is getting their masters but they need to seriously reevaluate their sources. Tidal sounds considerably more compressed and lacking in dynamic range, even on non-MQA (which I know is crap) songs. With the exact same song playing in both services (with volume matched), Deezer consistently sounded better even though I'm not using the hifi option.
